About an hour a week. Same teaching and speakers as the competitive side. Most people start here.

Competitive

Apply. Five-person books, 10–15 hours a week. You pitch, the room pushes back, and the thesis stays on file.

The season

Weeks 1–3. Fundamentals for everyone. Then books are assigned.
The rest. Every position needs a written thesis first, including what would kill it.
December and April. Two closes. Process scores higher than one semester of returns.

Apply

1. Written application. No GPA cutoff.
2. Ten-minute first round. Business casual.
3. Take-home, one week, then you defend it.
4. Three weeks of fundamentals. That decides your book.
